Personal Sampling

Europlan offer the service of personal sampling to determine the exposure of a worker to airborne contaminants. We can sample for dusts, fibres, fumes and mists, toxic vapours, aerosols and gases.
The sampling device is positioned in the breathing zone of the worker where the air is representative of that which the worker is breathing.

Personal sampling is carried out under the methods laid down by NIOSH/OSHA and the results are compared with the specified occupational exposure limits.

PAT Testing

PAT (Portable Appliance Testing) is the in-service repeat of the manufacturers safety tests of electrical equipment.

It is vital to provide a safe electrical environment for your staff and visitors by PAT-testing - You could face a fine of up to €3m or two years imprisonment if you don’t ensure the safety of your organisation’s premises including electrical items.

The only realistic way is through regular test-and-inspection of all electrical appliances in every building where people work, it is called Portable Appliance Testing.

Why You Need Your Appliances Tested

One of the first things Fire Officers and Health & Safety Inspectors usually ask to see on any inspection visit is PAT records. There are a number of additional reasons why appliances should be tested on a regular basis with the most important ones being:

1. To comply with General Application Regulations 2007
2. To minimise the risk of fire and injury caused by electrical appliances and to satisfy your Insurance Company
3. To comply with all Health & Safety requirements and ISO standards

Reasons To Choose Euro plan PAT Testing

We believe that electrical safety testing should be made available to everyone, and we understand that the two major factors in this are cost and the worry of being charged for hidden extras. We are confident that our straight forward pricing structure will set your mind at ease.

Noise

Exposure to high levels of noise, either continuously or as a sudden loud bang, can cause incurable deafness, often accompanied by a ringing in the ears.

Under the noise regulations 1990 an employer must assess the level of noise in the workplace. If any workers are exposed to a daily personal noise exposure above 85dBA, then measurements must be taken.
Europlan offer this service along with the assessment of ear protectors for the worker.

Europlan Health and Safety can provide this service for you and help you to meet the requirements laid down in the 2007 General Application Regulations, taking into account:
